Miss Nobodies

Miss Nobodies was commissioned by Spot On Lancashire and supported by Cultarpedia, Super Slow Way, Lacashire County Council & Arts Council England.

Miss Nobodies was inspired by the community of Great Harwood, along with research into local history and prominent figures of Lancashire. One such person is Ethel Carnie Holdsworth; a writer that worked in the mills in the early part of the last century. She is cited as the first working class, female novelist in the UK and parts of her poetry is used throughout the play, showcasing the resilient, resourceful and rowdy women of Lancashire.

A funny, poignant, heart-warming show about fierce Lancashire women and what they have done to leave their mark on this country’s history.

This two-hander play takes us through the history of the last 100 years of a shop in Lancashire.
