Ruth Cockburn

Ruth Cockburn is a writer, poet, musical comedian and performance artist from Blackpool. Critically acclaimed across the UK comedy circuit and comedy festival scene, her solo show Love Letters From Blackpool was commissioned by the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester and toured nationally. Her poetry collection Miss Nobodies was taken by the British Library. Her plays have been performed at Edinburgh Fringe, Sydney's Short & Sweet Festival, Buxton Fringe and internationally, with one production picked up by an Australian theatre company. She is a semi-finalist of both Funny Women and So You Think You're Funny. Broadway Baby calls her "a real talent." The Scotsman notes she has "charm." She is co-founder of award-winning theatre company Black Liver.

Keith Carter

Keith Carter is a comic actor, writer and musician from Liverpool. He is the creator of Nige — a BBC-broadcast character cited by Sir Jeremy Isaacs as instrumental in Liverpool's successful 2007 Capital of Culture bid. His broadcast credits include BBC Two (Domestic), BBC Three (Comedy Shuffle, Scallywagga), Channel 4 (Tonightly), ITV (Meet The Blogs) and BBC Radio (Loose Ends, The Gerald Roberts Radio Show). He is a former Liverpool Echo Comedian of the Year (2003) and North West Breakthrough Comedian of the Year (2005), a BBC New Comedy Awards finalist, and an Edinburgh Fringe regular. The Guardian praised his film performance as "almost show-stealing." He is co-founder of award-winning theatre company Black Liver.
