Keith Carter is a writer, actor and comic. His sixth gig was as finalist for the BBC Comedy Awards in 2000. He went onto to win Liverpool Comedian of the Year for three years straight. After seeing Keith perform on stage, Sir Jeremy Issacs said ‘he helped Liverpool win the bid’ for Capital of Culture in 2008. He then won BBC Breakthrough Comedian of the Year in 2010. After performing around the globe, supporting various big names such as Ricky Gervais at London’s Lyceum Theatre, Sean Lock at London’s Union Chapel and Johnny Vegas at St Helens’ Citadel, Keith lost interest in stand up and then went onto writing and acting for radio and TV. Between tours he enjoys receiving his residual cheques for recently appearing with Martin Freeman in the BBC hit ‘The Responder’.
