So Who The Heckers Like Are Black Liver?

Formed during the Lockdown of 2020, Black Liver started as a few funny music videos Keith and Ruth made to amuse friends and family.

Cut to present day and Black Liver have become a professional touring company; playing to sell out audiences with their shows ‘Miss Nobodies’ and ‘Support Your Local Library! A Gothic Pub Rock Opera’, headlining on their occasional gigs for the UK comedy circuit, writing and starring in BBC Radio 4’s comedy ‘Where To Mate?’ and being commissioned to create bespoke songs, workshops, childrens’ stories and the first comedy festival for Blackpool. Their number of bespoke commissions range from Spot On Lancashire, The Library Project, The Literacy Trust, Head Start, Blackpool’s Art B&B and Show Town Museum.

They were nominated for Best Theatre Production at the Buxton Festival in 2022 for ‘Support Your Local Library! A Gothic Pub Rock Opera’. And Best Comedy Show in 2023 for ‘A Soirée of Black Liver’. Recently they helped Blackpool’s Grand Theatre win the Children&Young People Now Award at this year’s Theatre Awards.

Currently they are working on their new show, ‘Devilled Eggs’ which is already taking tour bookings for 2024/25.
