So she’s…

Ruth Cockburn is a writer, actor and poet. She began performing her own shows in 2018 with ‘Love Letters From Blackpool’, nominated for best show at Leicester’s Comedy Festival. During this she ran her own comedy night at the famed King Arms in Salford, whilst working alongside Drag Queen legend Anna Phylactic. Her tour show, ‘Miss Nobodies’ was commissioned by Manchester’s Royal Exchange in 2019 and is still touring today. The book inspired from the show, with poetry written by Ruth, has recently been accepted by The British Library. Between Black Liver tours, Ruth is a stalwart of the North’s poetry scene. As an actor she recently starred in the award winning film ‘Prefer To Sip Tea’ and the forthcoming movie ‘Mr Doom’.
